Is Cosmetic Surgery Right For Me?
Welcome to the second in a five part series answering the question: Am I a Good Candidate for Cosmetic Surgery? Once you have answered these five questions, you can relax and enjoy the process of transformation. You are taking the first steps in this process and… you will be better informed.Question #2: What do you see when you look in the mirror?
As you answer these questions honestly, you will be able to relax and enjoy every step of the way!Let’s revisit the three women from our previous e-zine who made the decision to call the Avalon Clinic to improve both their looks and their confidence.
Sally is 34 years old, the mother of two beautiful daughters. Due to multiple pregnancies and nursing, her breasts are now smaller and deflated. She is embarrassed for her husband to see her naked. Even padded bras don’t do the trick.
When asked what she sees in the mirror, she frowns slightly and says, “I see deflated, old-looking breasts that don’t match the rest of my body. I like the rest of my body. I’m in great physical shape and take good care of myself, but I don’t even want to look at my breasts.”

Melissa, 39, is a career advertising executive. In six months she is getting married for time. She once had a weight problem, but is now at the first her perfect weight. She is going to have the tummy tuck she’s been wanting for years. “When I look in the mirror,” she said to the consultant, “I see loose, hanging skin with lots of stretch marks. See, I can grab it with my hands, which I sometimes do in frustration. I’ve made a decision to take care of the one thing I don’t like about my body!”

As you remember, Brenda is a 27 year old school teacher on summer break. Tall and narrow-hipped with DDD breasts, she wants to be active in sports again as she was as a girl. “What do I see in the mirror?” she asks. “My breasts are sagging and pendulous with stretch marks everywhere. Even at my age! I’m tired of being unable to buy dresses that fit, of trying to minimize my top half to balance my figure. And I can’t wait to start running again!”
These three women all want the same thing; to feel good about their bodies and to do those things their bodies have kept them from doing. For Sally, it’s looking good in a bathing suit again. For Melissa, it’s buying snug fitting clothes to show off her flat stomach. Brenda imagines jogging along the beach.
What do you see when you look in the mirror? What would you like to change?
In the coming email, we’ll show you how Sally, Melissa and Brenda answered the third question. “What is the third question?” you ask. Well, you’ll just have to wait and see!
Till next time… be happy, relax and enjoy your life!
