Is Cosmetic Surgery Right for Me?

Is Cosmetic Surgery Right For Me?

Welcome to the second in a five part series answering the question: Am I a Good Candidate for Cosmetic Surgery? Once you have answered these five questions, you can relax and enjoy the process of transformation. You are taking the first steps in this process and… you will be better informed.

Question #2: What do you see when you look in the mirror?

As you answer these questions honestly, you will be able to relax and enjoy every step of the way!

Let’s revisit the three women from our previous e-zine who made the decision to call the Avalon Clinic to improve both their looks and their confidence.

Sally is 34 years old, the mother of two beautiful daughters. Due to multiple pregnancies and nursing, her breasts are now smaller and deflated. She is embarrassed for her husband to see her naked. Even padded bras don’t do the trick.

When asked what she sees in the mirror, she frowns slightly and says, “I see deflated, old-looking breasts that don’t match the rest of my body. I like the rest of my body. I’m in great physical shape and take good care of myself, but I don’t even want to look at my breasts.”

Melissa, 39, is a career advertising executive. In six months she is getting married for time. She once had a weight problem, but is now at the first her perfect weight. She is going to have the tummy tuck she’s been wanting for years. “When I look in the mirror,” she said to the consultant, “I see loose, hanging skin with lots of stretch marks. See, I can grab it with my hands, which I sometimes do in frustration. I’ve made a decision to take care of the one thing I don’t like about my body!”

As you remember, Brenda is a 27 year old school teacher on summer break. Tall and narrow-hipped with DDD breasts, she wants to be active in sports again as she was as a girl. “What do I see in the mirror?” she asks. “My breasts are sagging and pendulous with stretch marks everywhere. Even at my age! I’m tired of being unable to buy dresses that fit, of trying to minimize my top half to balance my figure. And I can’t wait to start running again!”

These three women all want the same thing; to feel good about their bodies and to do those things their bodies have kept them from doing. For Sally, it’s looking good in a bathing suit again. For Melissa, it’s buying snug fitting clothes to show off her flat stomach. Brenda imagines jogging along the beach.

What do you see when you look in the mirror? What would you like to change?
In the coming email, we’ll show you how Sally, Melissa and Brenda answered the third question. “What is the third question?” you ask. Well, you’ll just have to wait and see!
Till next time… be happy, relax and enjoy your life!

Is Cosmetic Surgery Right for Me?

The first and most important question to be answered is: Am I a Good Candidate for Cosmetic Surgery? Once you have thoughtfully considered the five questions in this series, you can relax and enjoy the process of your body’s transformation. Not only will you be further advanced in this process; you will be better informed.

Question #1: Tell me about your situation.

It is very important for your cosmetic surgeon to understand your individual situation: what bothers you about your body, what you would like to achieve, and what is motivating you to make this change. Answering these questions honestly will allow you to relax and enjoy every step of the way!

Let’s look at examples of several women who made the decision to call The Avalon Clinic: to improve both their looks and their confidence.

Sally is 34 years old, the mother of two bright and busy daughters. After nursing her second child, she noticed her breasts were deflated-looking and much smaller than before the pregnancies. She liked her figure before childbirth, but now she was embarrassed for her husband to see her naked. She bought lacy, padded bras, but this did not change the fact that she now had deflated breasts. Sally wants to look good in a bathing suit again, like she used to. She wants to feel attractive; not just the mother of two children. Her husband is supportive of her wish to have breast augmentation and they have the money to cover the surgery. She is ready to call.

Melissa, 39, has a career in advertising. In six months she is getting married for the first time: her wedding will be one of the highlights of her life. She had weight problems in the past, yet two years ago, she lost 65 pounds! She has been bothered by the hanging skin that she carries around her middle and decides that now is the time to have that tummy tuck she has been thinking of for years. She wants a flat tummy and the ability to wear any style she wants. Melissa has discussed this with her fiancĂ©, who encourages her. On her special day she wants to relax and enjoy her time in the spotlight and there’s one thing she’s sure of… she doesn’t want her bridesmaids to outshine her!

Brenda, 27, is a school teacher on summer vacation. She is tall and narrow-hipped with DDD breasts, making her body appear disproportionate. She has always wanted to jog and play tennis, but her large breasts have made those activities very uncomfortable. With the whole summer off, now is the perfect time to call The Avalon Clinic and schedule her breast reduction surgery.

Three women, three different stories; yet each has a strong desire to improve their appearance and, as a result, their confidence. Because of Sally’s deflated breasts, she is embarrassed to be naked in front of her husband. Melissa, an accomplished woman with a bright future, wants to stand before her wedding guests with a flat stomach. Brenda dreams of wearing a C bra and participating in active sports as she did as a girl.

In the next email, I’ll share the answers Sally, Melissa and Brenda had to the second question.
Till next time… be happy, relax and enjoy your life!
